Erase Facebook Out Of Our Life

by kaiconfusion

I have written this post to everyone that has considered getting out of Facebook before and to everyone who want to learn why to consider it.

I’ll tell you how I did it

delete FB oneWhen I first signed up for  Facebook I honestly had no idea what it was.
That was the time when I first discovered things like YouTube etc.
I was being naive and not well-educated about the internet.
Even though I have never actively used it, over the years many photos that people have tagged and many contacts have collected in my account.
I have thought about getting rid of my Facebook account since more than two years now. I guess there were always some sort of fake
hindrances holding me back.
One major reason not to delete it earlier, was that I didn’t know how to save all the nice pictures and secondly cause I have used Facebook in the past year to let people know about my blog.
Well, now it is time to live according to my believes and stop being a hypocrite and erase the account.

Reasons to get out of Facebook:

no FBI believe to most people this is quite obvious but as with so many other things too,  even though we know what is right, we still decide in favour of the wrong!
Lets imagine what life must have been like 20 years ago and before that,
working for secret service, police and similar institutions to spy on people in the name of freedom and public safety. To get information’s about a certain person or a group of people it must have taken an agent quite long to get anywhere. Especially information’s on social networks of people would have been a hard nut to crack.
Hours of boring observations, following people around, feeling like a creep while doing so…

All past! Today all you got to do is click on Facebook. All our information’s are already there.
Call that progress! Call that coincidence? I call that the most sophisticated tool for the control of the masses.
Who ever is powerful enough to use and access these information’s, has detailed knowledge on an outrageously huge amount of the world population and all their interconnections.
Not only for control but to know what we want or might want in the future to brainwash us even more and on a more sophisticated way so we want to consume and buy more stuff to get blinded and chained and sucked in even more into this false reality of ours… That’s why!
However this is only my personal grieve that I have with Facebook.

Take some time and read the article –  wikipedia.org/Criticism of Facebook

What do I do?

First step after finishing to read this is to send this post to your Facebook friends and contacts or simply write something similar in you own words to encourage, inspire and tell others to quit Facebook too!
Secondly you tell everyone on your news feed and with a personal message to everyone that you are going to be out of Facebook soon and that everyone that wants to stay in contact with you should send you his/ her email address to your email address within the next week or so.

Saving your photos

Whenever you are ready for the next step before deleting and closing your account for good,
you can download all of you pictures! To download your photos I have found this amazing little program

http://code.google.com/p/photograbber/

and this explanation and video what it is and how to use it!

Downloading your Facebook informations:

After having done that, you can also download your profile photos, all your contacts, messages, everything off your wall, your profile etc… on Facebook directly!

”To download a copy of your Facebook files, log into your Facebook account and click on the white menu triangle on the right side of the blue bar at the top of the page. Choose Account Settings from the menu. At the bottom of the General Account Settings page, click on the “Download a copy of your Facebook data” link.

You land on the Download Your Information page, which includes a Start My Archive button and also explains more about the process; Facebook has a demonstration video as well. Once you click the Start My Archive button, Facebook begins to gather a copy of your files. When it is finished, you get an e-mail message with a link for the Zip archive file that contains your data. Facebook requires identity verification through e-mail, password and other measures for security purposes since the downloaded file is full of personal information.
The Download Your Information page has a link for an “expanded archive” as well, which includes more technical information. (Facebook explains what information is included in each type of archive here.)”
