“Dirt! The Movie”/”Let’s Talk About Soil

86 min | Documentary | 2009 (USA)

This is number twenty of the ” One documentary per week series”.

Every Sunday I post one documentary to watch during the week. Each film is about topics that I think everyone should have awareness about.
Next week I will start posting a whole series of documentaries that focus on solutions – films that show people and projects that are already changing the world!

Take a look at the best documentary website!
Films for actionIt is easy to forget the concerns of the world in our daily lives and hard to grasp the big picture in these hyper complex times. Too easily it can be overseen how our day to day actions and inactions repeated by many have profound impacts on the globe and all its inhabitants at large.

Taking at least an hour every week to learn something new or to be inspired or to be touched, is a great investment of our precious life time!

Often the solutions are just around the bend and start in our own backyards and with our day to day choices! “Think global – act local” is more true and important than ever!

I want to invite everyone into sharing feedback and opinions or to start discussions and to share links of interesting projects that deal with those issues and that are part of the solution rather than part of the problem and share this with everyone that could be interested!
Enjoy watching!

Let’s Talk About Soil – Deutsch/ English

DIRT! The Movie
Narrated by Jamie Lee Curtis–brings to life the environmental, economic, social and political impact that the soil has. It shares the stories of experts from all over the world who study and are able to harness the beauty and power of a respectful and mutually beneficial relationship with soil.

But more than the film and the lessons that it teaches, DIRT! The Movie is a call to action. “When humans arrived 2 million years ago, everything changed for dirt. And from that moment on, the fate of dirt and humans has been intimately linked.”

How can you affect that relationship for the better?
